Hunting South Dakota's State Bird, the ring-necked pheasant, is an amazing hunting experience. Not only will the ring-necked pheasant amaze you with their brilliant colors, but their intelligence as well. Pheasants that have made it through a few hunting seasons will outsmart just about everything but a good South Dakota pheasant hunting dog.
-
Our philosophy is to hunt wild pheasants only, but because of the demand of hunters we have dedicated a portion of our hunting acres into a pheasant hunting preserve
-
Not the traditional type of row crop pheasant hunting in eastern South Dakota. We hunt in a mixture of CRP grasses and food plots. The grass type of guided pheasant hunting is especially enjoyable for a good hunting dog, excellent for pointers. The food plots provide the row crop type of SD pheasant hunting, if this is the type you prefer
-
For the hunter's that enjoy working with their dog with "wild" naturally raised birds, we maintain another farmstead away from the preserve acres.
-
We also have an abundance of partridge in this area.
SD Pheasant Hunting dates:
Preserve Hunts: Sept 1 to March 31
Non-preserve hunts: Oct. 18 to Jan. 4, 2009
all hunts are guided pheasant hunts
